PIC16F877 whit audio aplication

Hello posters... I have a question about someone PIC16f877 aplication. I'll wish to know if PIC16F877 could be use in music project. I mean it able to adquire sound?

If somebody know to same aplication could tell me.

What kind of music project did you mean?
What type of quality would you reproduce and last but not least
where would you store the total amount of data which is needed for your audio signal.
Reproducing of an audio signal out of a digital could be easily done with pulth width modulation

I need use PIC16F877 to process sound from guitar signal. The wave have 600mV peak to peak and max freq is 1.5KHz. PIC16F877 with 4MHz Crystal could be use?
