ICD-U + MPLAB + C18 = True?

Hi!

I'm thinking of buying a ICD-U instead of Mchips ICD-2.

My concerns is if it also works with MPLAB+C18 or just CCS software.

Any other pro/cons selecting ICD-U or ICD-2?

ICD-U
Pro it's very fast
Con it drives less current to programming pins
