Emulator to chip CAN problem (18F458)

I have a program that seems to run fine using the ICE 2000 and the PCM18XD1. However when I go from emulator to a chip I am not able to transmit or receive on the CAN bus. The same is true if I try to use the ICD2. Anyone else have this problem.

can-18xxx8.h is wrong.

#define CAN_ENABLE_DRIVE_HIGH 0

should be

#define CAN_ENABLE_DRIVE_HIGH 1

The ICE 2000 does not seem to care and just drove the cantx output high even though the endrhi bit was low. The chip however would put the output in tristate mode.
